(ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.) -- The Albuquerque Police Department is teaming up with workers from the Maintenance and Construction section of the Parks and Recreation Department to clean up the Rio Grande Bosque on Friday morning.
The police report the area is plagued with transient camps, which contribute to a multitude of problems for the ecology, cleanliness and safety to local citizens.
The camps will be taken down to reduce the risk of fire danger and will help combat more transients from locating themselves in the Rio Grande Bosque, according to police.
